Situated just a few metres from the Guildhall in the City of London, the refurbishment of 30 King Street provides over 3000m2 of premier City office space. Ashmolean Museum
The Museum, which was built in 1683 making it Britain’s oldest, re-opened to the public in November 2009 following a ten month closure. The expanded exhibition space boasts 39 new galleries surrounding an imposing Portland stone staircase in the main atrium. To preserve the character of this 1920s building situated at the junction between Chancery Lane and High Holborn, the City of London planners insisted the original façade was retained. Located a stone’s throw from the Bank of England in the City of London, 1-3 Kings Arms Yard is a combination of two adjacent properties providing nearly 57,000 sq. ft. of prime City office space. Conveniently located directly opposite Paddington train station, this modern office complex is the first of three phases undergoing extensive refurbishment for Land Securities. Putney and Wood was appointed by main contractor Wates, to design, procure and manufacture the stonework for the reception and lift lobbies.
